At Stichting Share for Kids, we believe that every child deserves access to books and the opportunity to foster a love for reading. As a non-profit foundation, we are dedicated to supporting children by giving new life to used books. Through our efforts, we collect gently used books and distribute them to children, helping to cultivate their imaginations, spark curiosity, and nurture a lifelong passion for reading.
Founded in 2020 by a group of dedicated volunteers in the Netherlands, Share for Kids operates entirely on a voluntary basis. Our foundation has proudly earned ANBI status, meaning we work solely for the public good and are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young readers. Our mission is simple: to raise awareness of the importance of books and reading while contributing to a brighter future for all children.
Our work is sustained by the generosity of donations and the tireless efforts of volunteers who share our vision. By placing books back into the hands of children, we aim to inspire the next generation and ensure that no child is deprived of the joy and educational value that books bring.
Join us in our mission to build a better, more literate future for children everywhere.
At Stichting Share for Kids, our goals reflect our commitment to making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of children. By focusing on key areas, we aim to enrich their worlds through the power of books and foster important values such as sustainability and cultural understanding.

About ANBI status
A Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) is a foreign ANBI, which means in Dutch: Algemeen nut beogende instelling (ANBI). An organisation can only be an ANBI if it’s organisation’s efforts are almost entirely committed to the public benefit. Associations (such as sports clubs, staff associations, singing groups, theatre societies or recreational organisations) are usually not ANBIs. However, sometimes these organisations can be qualified as Social Interest Organisations (in Dutch: Sociaal Belang Behartigende Instellingen - SBBI).
Stichting Share for Kids is a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI). This means that we meet the requirements set by the tax authorities for charities. This allows you to donate with a tax benefit. We also do not have to pay tax on donations and estates.
